The MIDAS project is developing and evaluating methods for Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopic Imaging (MRSI) for clinical research studies. This includes development of the MIDAS software ('''M'''etabolite '''I'''maging and '''D'''ata '''A'''nalysis '''S'''ystem), which provides an integrated set of MRI and MRSI processing functions for "whole-brain" MRSI. 

This project aims to further develop and distribute these capabilities and to encourage more widespread use of MRSI for diagnostic imaging and improved mapping of metabolite distributions in the human brain. This project is funded by the National Institute for Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering, initially under grant R01EB00822 and continued under R01EB016064.
